I do not know if this was plagiarized or not...perhaps.... but during a very bad few years for agriculture around here they came out to interview a few of the 'old timers'. One they chose was "Fred".... Fred was a memorable character. Insane, but funnier than hell. You never knew what to expect from Fred. They asked Fred when he first came here to farm and Fred replied, "I came here from Portugal in 1930 with $1 in my pocket. And as soon as I get it back I'm returning".
