Sayers grew up in your hometown right? You grew up in Wichita didn't you?

Sayers was born in Wichita but raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He played football at the Univ. of Kansas.
My dad was born and raised in Wichita and my grandparents lived there but I grew up an Army brat and lived lots of places.
My dad retired from the Army as I was finishing my junior year in high school and we moved from Newport News, Virginia home to Wichita. I finished high school there, went to college at Wichita State University, and started my career at Southwestern Bell there. Lived in Wichita from 1968-1993 when my company transferred me to St. Louis.

When people ask me where I'm from... the answer is WICHITA
