d be set up for life.. after 20 years retire with half his normal pay for life, get cushy civil service job making $80K a year, and get his disability rating as high as possible (that's all they do out here - discuss strategies to get their disability rating to 100%) and he'd get up to $3400 a month for life tax free, plus all the other stuff.. he'd be riding high at that point and retire at the earliest age possible..
