I was watching. Not sure -with no triple crown this year-I will watch the Belmont. Also getting fed up with all the horses being uthanized -especially at Churchill Downs. I think we're seeing horsed that are bred and trained for the short run -just a few races-to qualify for big money. In the "good old days" race horses would race 20-30 races in a year. They were built and trained for both speed and strength. Today its all about speed. Then they'r retired for breeding. It's all about money. IMO their legs are far more fragil than 40 yrs ago-when the "greats" raced. Secretariat still the best of the best.
