IPA Beer....

Every so often some 'fad' comes along, (I'm lying, it far more than every so often), that befuddles me.
IPA beer probably befuddles me the most of all my befuddlements. That because... it's FOUL. Nasty, dreadful, abominable stuff. Especially when you consider that quality beer is one of the most pleasing things your palate can experience. AND YET....
WOW am I in the minority on this one. I do not drink beer all that often... but most of the people I spend time with do... and almost to a man they have been brainwashed into thinking that IPA beer actually tastes good..... frankly I don't believe them for a simple reason... it's not possible!
Over the last couple years this has happened to me 3 or 4 times - "Jimmy, try this one. You can barely tell it's an IPA".... then, idiot that I am, I take a sip. Then I have to gargle cat litter to get the taste out of my mouth.
I can, (don't but I could), get down a glass of ripple as a 'wine'.... I can NOT get down an IPA as a beer. - JamesJM
