Let us check out your work.. I actually paint my main guitar about every 3-4 years and, believe it or not, use Wimbledon White Truck and Van rattle can acrylic lacquer, which goes on amazingly well.. Still hafta sand and buff/compound it a lot, but it looks brand new when I'm done - for a few weeks..
