People want reclining seats. Seats have to be a mile wide. Gotta have cup holders (I DO like that). etc Remember the old days when there were SINGLE screen theaters? An oddball place had ......TWO screens???? Seats had no cup holders. Rows were jammed tight....LOTS of rows! The floors had 40 year old Coca Cola on them and would almost pull your shoes off. The AC was usually a HUUUUGE circle vent over the theater that blew arctic air like a hurricane. If someone had to walk past you had to lift your knees to your face. But nobody complained! Movies were better. Concessions were VERY cheap and theaters were ALWAYS packed. Now they have the bells n whistles, hardly 40 seats in a theater, a small popcorn n Coke is $35. And now....You MIGHT see 12 people in a theater.
