I started going to sports bars for Rams games in '95 when they left LA and were no longer automatically on local TV. Went to a fun sports bar in Manhattan Beach for several years called Grunion's that is still there. I remember big groups of Vikings fans there back then.
But if you're in an opposing NFL city and looking to watch your favorite team there are still some really good ones to find. I've gone to the same one since 2004 for Rams games. Family friendly and I used to even bring my kids sometimes when they were little with their drawing pads, action figures, etc. and it was perfectly fine. I can go less often now because, once they were revived under McVay, they were shown more locally, more national TV games, etc. I've been there I think 4-5 times this season.
But I've always liked the environment where you're among fans of all different teams. On any given Sunday when I go you'll see a table of Packers fans, a few Steelers fans at the bar, a couple Colts fans, etc. There's sort of a camaraderie there.
