6 weeks seems like a long time to be out with an ankle injury when surgery wasn't required and the player hasn't been placed on Injured Reserve. This is another example of the Rams keeping fans and media in the dark. Of course the longer the Rams are silent, right or wrong... the more people will come up with their own explanations for Donald's whereabouts. It's possible that the Rams can't say anything right now... but heck, even when they CAN... they don't. They never were forthcoming about Todd Gurley and his knee and he's been gone 3 years. And for that... I don't forgive them.
I wish Donald well. He gave his all while wearing a Rams uniform, got tons of well-deserved awards and accolades, and the coveted Super Bowl ring to boot. I believe he's already made his decision to retire and we're watching it begin to play out.. I can't blame him for hanging up his cleats. I just don't like how he and the Rams went about it. Oh, the front office will try to smooth things over with an announcement once the season is over but I'm already soured on how it went down.
