Deadpool this was an outstanding find as well as your valuable input! Personally I thought that Staley was the best at playing "situational defense" - not only morphing his schemes from week to week but also halftime and in-game changes. Raheem did an outstanding job in the Super Bowl but we haven't seen progress since then. I know Raheem places the utmost value on winning (which is what led his multiple statements of "Stats Are For Losers"winking smiley but I haven't seen noticeable changes that "situationally" have helped lock down wins this year (i.e. Tampa and Seattle). I'd like to see more of the youngsters get playing time in the last few games of the year.

Yeah, that's kinda how I see it too 69. Staley was much better than Morris at ""in-game changes" and week to week, team to team changes. That's been on of my biggest complaints about him. He seems to only have one play in his play book. The Charmin Shell.

In other words, Staley was better at being creative and thinking "on the spot" than Morris is IMO. Situational Football is not Morris's specialty, IMO, and it is becoming clearer now that our offense isn't helping.

To only roll out one game plan (the soft shell) for every team every week is a huge weakness of Morris. We all see it week after week. Trust me. Other teams see it too.

Staley isn't perfect either but his creativity and "in-game" changes is what helped get him his HC job while Morris hasn't even got a "nibble".

This being a Morris weakness just might be one of the reasons he wasn't poached from our staff. He will forever be known as the only coach who nobody wanted to "pick" from the McVay coaching tree!

It turns out that Staley might be a better DC than a HC and Morris might be a better HC than DC but I don't think Morris will ever be a HC again.

If Staley gets fired it might be a while before he becomes a HC again too!

The "book of Morris" has been written. It has a "soft cover" and is a "quick read". beer cheer smiley

#HelmetHornsMatter

“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.

“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
