I think he's cool to the team. During the last game he was not really responding all that happy/positive to Sean. He played hard, much more so then earlier in the year, but you need to be honest with his overall play as well. The 2 TD's were huge and he fought for them, but 17 carries and 60 way less then 4 yds. per touch.....yes he had some nice power runs , but overall it was his normal per yd. output.
I think they can do better then him next season, and I also think he wants out. It would be hard for him to generate interest if he didn't come back this season, no one was picking up the phone for him during those 2 weeks out (no sign of it anyway). IMO him coming back was a decided ending by both sides but I think it was done by Akers for his own reasons.
Let Akers go, he's not the guy we need, there is better in the draft for sure and for 2/3 years it could be cheaper as well....I am a Charbonnet fan by the way...but won't hold only for him as a good pick up.
