But in the real world that Snead/McVay operate in it’s far more complicated than that.

FA comes first, for example. That will mean that certain positions of need will probably already have been addressed, possibly with one or more of these very picks we’re discussing. It’s conceivable that we will then have 2 or more quality proven studs onboard with no possibility of a draft bust which is right up Snead’s alley, but no picks on Day 2.

A trade down or two may also occur which will alter the player availability list, too. I will go out on a limb and predict 2 trades down on Day 2 picks.

Another factor in Snead’s favor is that this draft is reportedly rich in quality RB’s, TE’s, and Edges. This fortunate happenstance fits beautifully with Ram needs, does it not? I read that Safety is also pretty deep. This will enable the crafty Snead to load up at multiple positions with difference makers through maybe round 6.

If Snead chooses wisely in FA and this draft the Rams could well be back in the SB hunt. In fact, that’s my prediction.
