When I was a kid, my mom used to ask me all the time "did you do your best?" Was there anything else I could have done... studied harder, take better notes, have a study buddy, get in more practice, pay attention in class, etc. If I did ALL of that and still didn't get top results, then I did my best. Whether a player is a rookie, a JAG, a veteran or a star, I just want them to take the field and DO THEIR BEST. It's going to have to be good enough, no matter the outcome.
The Los Angeles Rams are still the Super Bowl Champions!!!! They need to play like they remember that.
