I remember thinking when the (then St. Louis) Rams signed a quarterback from the old WFL: “My goodness! This can’t possibly get any worse; we are so desperate we signing a WFL QB!”

That Kurt Warner fella turned to be pretty good. It’s nice to hope Cookus could the same, but I wouldn’t count on it. But, then again, I did not count on it with Warner, either.
