Mina nailed it... McVay and Shanny are the reason the defenses changed and have now finally caught up to that style of offense by matching personnel and scheme and those numbers tell you that...scoring and yards per completion are way down these days because of it.
the power back and gap scheme will become the flavor of the day until the defenses once again adapt to it....then in a few years the passing attack and outside zone will come back to counter that
