Damn poor scouting?
knew a former Rams player who was a scout for another team. I asked about Smith (draft was over, he was already a Ram)
this scout (a former offensive lineman) said, "He's awesome"
With that I felt pretty good, then he didn't do well, got concussions, played worse.
Truth is this: Both Smith and Robinson would have been drafted in the top 5 if we
had not taken them. It's not like they were reaches---just bad luck, IMO
