Not as good as Sherm obviously. But his strength is his physicality and aggression, he is at his best when he can put hands on the wideout early in the pattern. So his best use is in a pattern match call underneath where he can be hands on and have help over the top.
The problem is the Rams secondary is still sorting roles for guys and their safeties are not good. We're going to need better play at a lot of different spots on the back end.
Also I don't look at Long as some answer coming off the injury. Everyone talks him up but his play on the field leaves a lot to be desired. I think he's a very good depth type. Maybe at best he is a low end starter. Maybe. But this is why I have hopes for the rooks and I think we need them out on the field even knowing that they're going to make mistakes.
