Surely he remembers how well his O clicked when we TG running the ball, right? Which makes it al the more confusing why he doesn't get better RB's and some OL that can run block too as well as pass block.
Seems to me we were more concerned with getting big stars instead of building our depth correctly. Maybe a big name RB or OL would have been a good idea?
to be fair, most teams if not all teams would be struggling to maintain .500 when they are down to ONE remaining starter on the OL...even our back ups have been lost to injury and we are on third string centers and guards.
I don't thin anybody saw that disaster happening at that scale....but yes, yo can bet they are going to spend some money on the OL this off-season.
It all starts up front....always has, always will
The run game has been less than spectacular for several years. Even when we had a healthy OL. The OL are all undersized and meant for pass blocking first, run blocking second. By adding only 5'9" RB's isn't helping either IMO. Time for some bigger badder OL and RB's. OL's and RB's that can "dish out" the punishment when needed.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
