Makes winning it all last season that more special

We can call ourselfs lucky and blessed that we won the SB last season. The stars aligned perfectly for the Rams.
Beat the Niners in the NFC title game though we have not beaten them now in 8 straight regular season games.
we had all the needed breaks in that game we did not get yesterday. Ball always bounced in favor of the Niners yesterday or we dropped easy passes on D ( Ramsey) and O (Higbee might be still running by now).

I am at peace with where we stand now. I take a SB season in a trade off for a mediocre/average following season or two every day.

But now the Rams brain trust should do the right thing in this situation: No trading away of picks at the deadline. This team is not a contender this season even if you add a player or two.
The o-line needs at least two players alone. Need a running back. Need an edge rusher and a hard hitting , sure tackling safety.
Way too many holes to fill at the deadline.
Team might make the playoffs but no way they defend their titel. Niners, Eagles, Vikings look way superior this season in the NFC and whoever comes out of it will be a heavy underdog to the AFC champ in the SB.

Better sell some parts at the deadline (Floyd, Wagner, Robinson,Higbee maybe even Ramsey) to bring in some much needed draft picks and clear some cap space for next season.
