Denver really has to decide if they can sign Chubb to a long term contract. Is he a building block type of player and critical to their long term success? Do they feel they will have a good chance to sign him? These would be the first questions they must be asking themselves.

Otherwise they are probably looking at a 3rd or 4th round comp pick. If that is the case how much would it take to get Chubb? Perhaps a 3rd and a 4th and another late rounder? Or would there be competition for him and drive the price up? With the Rams cap situation it will be hard to sign him to a long term contract so he may be just a rental. Of course you can be pretty sure he will bring back a comp pick as long as he doesn't get injured.

If the Rams want him long term they can find a way to do it.
