Fat chance.
Akers can run between the tackles, but not in the mold of a Carroll's running back, cf. Penny, Carson, or (drumroll....) Beastmode. That's what Akers ain't.
Carroll doesn't tolerate me-firsters too well either. Percy Harvin, one of the most talented receiver/returners ever, had a second chance with Carroll, complained about not getting enough touches and being used as a decoy in Seattle's Super Bowl victory over Denver, and shortly into the next season refused to go into a game when asked to put his hat on and play. He was gone within days. I don't think Akers would have a chance to get that same stuff started with Carroll
