On just one carry, I saw a foremer Ram in Ronny Rivers

Anybody here remember Dick Bass? The Scooter?

Rivers is not only built like Bass, 5'9" and around 200 pounds with lower body power, but also runs like him. Stop-start, hesitate-and-go moves, and one step into acceleration mode. Sees holes. Just enough jukes to be elusive. Quick feet. Good spin move to elude near-tackles in open field. That's evident in Rivers' college tape.

I watched Bass when he first came to the Rams and shared the backfield with Jon Arnett.

Crazy-good luck for this kid to come on the team just a few days ago and get into the next game, and get14 yards on one touch coming from a swing pass out of the backfield that makes the highlight reel. I won't let my hopes get too high, but I wish him well and will be pulling for him. He came to play football, and he's fun to watch.
