The whole game he played the technique well
initially, he made contact pushed the center
back but then when he tried to hold the point
he'd just get pushed back, he's too small
He's listed at 287, but he looks skinny, but he
may be 287.
Anyway, he'd fight and hang in there.
Late in the first half and in 2nd half he
began to shed some blocks and make
some plays...
He never was responsible for leaving a huge
gap open like Gaines had the last few weeks
Still, think Gaines is the better player, but
maybe once in a while the better player
has a slump and deserves to get benched.
Going forward not sure Copeland is any
kind of upgrade---and Gaines needs to
regain what he had last year---he's bigger
and stronger.
More concerning is Gaines coming in on
pass rush downs. In 2020 that role was
filled by Morgan Fox, who had some rushing
skills...
Gaines--just not going to be a rusher, ever.
