McVay needs to change the game plan. He'll now have time given that he knows what he has now.
If he doesn't adjust, then the team should protect Stafford.
Stafford won't leave the game.. and will continue to take these hits until he's medically unable to play.

This is why I said Wolford should have been in for a series or two. If the coaching staff wants to play that way, then they'll need a QB that can scramble, because of the porous offensive line. Or give a series or two to plan out the changes in play calling and then put in Stafford. Otherwise, play Stafford and change the play calling to dink/dunk their way to scoring position.
