I 'attempt' to keep it out of mind until kickoff. Of course, I always fail in doing that... but I continue to try.
I'm reading a book this morning for distraction from the game... goes something like this: "medicine in the mid-1800's seem more like witchcraft..... (be smart Stafford, NO Int's)... than modern medicine. Soldiers were routinely exposed too... (We need you Akers... run like the wind and HOLD ON TO THE DAMN BALL)... unsanitary conditions and disease was rampant (Love you McVay but listen up and listen good - I've got 60 years of 'watching' experience going here). Soldiers were more likely to die from... (maybe JG will catch dysentery after lunch today)...illness than the weapons of war".
