First of all, if the Rams wanted Tavon I'm pretty sure he's a FA and could be signed to replace Atwell immediately. Our front office isn't doing it. Why? Well, he isn't good enough for anyone to sign. And I liked Tavon. He has a really good season for us scoring 10 TDS. He never really did much damage on those reverse plays but helped Gurley because of the fakes. Tutu? We don't know. He hasn't really gotten his shot. And he is on a SB roster with good depth at his position. So that's why he's not a starter. Not because he sucks like a vacuum. Our front office really liked him coming out of Louisville.
He is a talented kid. He will get an opportunity sometime. Last year was a lost year for him.
So far, he has seen a total of two NFL regular season passes. A comebacker which he dropped and he was wide open deep and Stafford overthrew him. That's it. He is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma. We can make fun of him or complain about him all we want, but we don't know what he'll be without trying him out in really action. Obviously McVay likes to have a speed option. He drafted Tavon. He signed DJ. He drafted Atwell. We also traded a first for that little speedster who dropped the pass in the EZ in SB 2018. He was a 1K speedy type, so McVay knows how to utilize speed. We'll see.
