Yawn-worthy predictability, drops and misses of catchable balls, baffling playcalling, diluted vanilla scheme, mediocre O line play, and expecting Wilson to make it all function by his mere presence all contributed to a barely-win in a game they could have dominated.
Sure, Russ threw some whazzup widdat passes, but he played well enough to win by a wider margin. Nobody was open in time, and I had no sense that the WR's were adjusting their routes. 49er coverage was sustained and good - that had something to do with it. So did the fac that the 49er D kept him contained.
Big factor in the win - they could bear down in the 4th, as RW said in the interview. Rams? Get ahead and (barely) coast home performance ain't gonna do it from here on out. Playing four solid quarters of football will be a real challenge for a makeshift O line especially.
