Favre was great and I enjoyed watching him but of the two I'd rather have Stafford in his prime than Favre. That's before we get to character. I still want the guys I watch on Sunday to be decent human beings, if not heroes.

I can say of Stafford: here's a man whose private life and family are important to him, whose good-bye to his former home and team in Detroit came from a place of personal depth, and who was totally supportive and encouraging for his wife through one of the scariest orderals I can imagine a young couple going through. I want to see him win all the moreso because of who he is.
