They keep making new rules to allow both teams to have a possession, but then they shorten the period to 10 mins. Just dumb, keep it at 15 mins and play the game.
The coin flip winner could fairly easily put together a 9+ minute drive for a FG and basically gives the second team 1 min or less to tie or win.
These two rules seem to offset one another. Just today we saw the Falcons run off 9+ minutes to start the game.
