You think Perkins could have won that game? Sorry, I disagree.
Could Perkins have completed 70% of his passes and done the rest with his legs? He doesn't have the chemistry with Kupp that Stafford does and Stafford had to go to Kupp out of desperation too often - the slow-developing plays didn't have time to develop. Perkins, in the same setting, might have scrambled sooner and made something out of some of those plays, but on others he'd have been overwhelmed and shown up too often.
The Buffalo D and their coaches deserve a lot of credit - they came in motivated, prepared, and fueled with a well-studied game plan and the personnel to execute it. Perkins would have been outclassed.
It's too early to start calling for our starting QB's head and say he's lost it. Not good for the team or as a general public mindset. Quarterback controversy is a team-killer. Not now. Please reconsider.
