Last season proved that. The PISS POOR "effort" by our players did us in. Toooo many guys watching OTHERS make tackles. Bills flat out came after us. The Rams coward to them and played on their heels.....on BOTH sides of the ball.
Morris is the DC. As such he is responsible for all results on his D. That’s the way it works in the real world. Morris is responsible for any ‘piss-poor player effort’, too. It’s all part of the DC ball of wax.
When his D gets good results he gets the praise and credit and mentioned as next HC candidate.
But when his D produces a crapfest like Thursday night you better believe that fingers are gonna be pointed at Morris. Couldn’t stop the run, couldn’t stop the pass, couldn’t get off the field on 3rd down, etc.
He has 3 future HOF’ers on his D and they looked like the Keystone Kops, for crying out loud. Rams D was outcoached, outplayed, and humiliated on National TV. No adjustments were made that I could detect. I lay much of the blame at Morris’ feet.
Now the question is just how well will Morris correct things and how quickly. He took his sweet time adjusting last year, that’s for damned sure.
Actually, same exact thing applies to McVay. His O was painfully outcoached and outplayed and I didn’t see any adjustments from him, either. He admitted as much in his presser. Let’s see how quickly McVay gets his O back on track. Until next game though, fingers are gonna be pointed at McVay, too.
No sacred cows allowed, no more resting on those SB laurels. Time to get busy and fix this thing.
