How can we field an overall better team in '22 and lose more than we did in '21?
First, we're looking at an as-yet unproven OLine. We know Boom and Shelton as players, and know them both as good journeymen but must expect a reasonable dropoff from the solid pro or HOF players they replace. That's one on each side of the line - left side critical to pass pro, right side critical to already-iffy run game.
Second, strength of schedule. Beyond our own division we're facing a Murderer's Row of opposing teams, all of whom will be amped up to beat the champions. The pressure on the Rams to perform, to be amped up for each game as if it were playoff football in midseason, will be a steep challenge for coaches and players, and difficult to sustain for 17 games.
Final W-L totals? I have no idea - but I'm looking forward to an exciting season, some tight games that could go either way and a few where we dominate, and a trip to the Super Bowl with back-to-back wins within our grasp.
