I'd say we are pretty spotty in building an OL that is a strength.
Hav is a solid but limited ROT. Joe will probably be fine, but I doubt he will be much better than league average. After that, our OTs are pretty dodgy.
Allen is adequate at OC ... barely. Maybe. Our guards are probably OK.
Our depth is very shaky. Green, at least.
Each year, we hear that the OL coach will figure it out. They do, sort of, but other than Whit, I don't think we have had genuine strengths on the OL for years.
You mention RB. But I long for the day when we can generate power with our OL. I have seen a bit of promise in our PS schemes, but of course we can't see the starters.
You know, some teams, some good teams play with so-so OLs. We have for years slagged off SEA for its OL. Well, it's probably our greatest team weakness.
Hey. No team these days can avoid a weak unit. But teams looking to blunt our attack will always zero in on our OL. It's a definite weakness that we compensate for much but not all of the time.
And, in keeping with your theme, it is a team building blind spot. Creed Humphrey, Man!
