Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery, according to NBC Washington and multiple reports.
The rookie is reportedly hospitalized and in stable condition after being a victim of an attempted car robbery. According to NFL Network, at least two bullets struck Robinson in the lower body. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
A star at Alabama, the 23-year-old Robinson was selected by Washington in the third round of this year’s NFL draft, and he had been expected to share the backfield with Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic this season.
