It's an interesting contrast in coaching. Campbell is all guts and glory with lots of the standard coach speak about going to war and drawing a line in the sand and man-ing up and using hokey props as metaphors and not much about strategy or system or technique teaching. His coaching staff seems to follow the same routine - lots of yelling and not a lot of teaching. Goff has barely said 2 words in the first few episodes, but maybe that's by design.
From the mic'ed up sessions of McVay and hearing him on the preseason broadcasts he seems much more x's and o's. And very big on teaching and tips on technique.
It's hard to really tell as what you see on both counts is the edited version.
If I had to bet on it - I'd say the Lions are due for another losing season, unfortunately. They have some good players but I'm not sold on Campbell as anything more than a position coach.
