Rick Gosselin does annual aggregated special teams rankings using 22 categories. In 2021
he ranked the Rams 16th overall. Football Outsiders
ranked Rams' special teams 4th overall. In both cases (and I think we all saw this) their special teams started the year pretty poorly but by the 2nd half of the year were in the upper tier of the league.
This is true and IMO, everything came together once Brandon Powell was added to the squad as both the Kick Returner & Punt Returner his first game against the Jaguars when he almost took the opening kickoff the distance.
