I don't think Tavon is the returner Powell is.
Yes, Tavon has had a few moments of greatness on returns but too often he catches the ball and stutters/dances around or even goes backwards as he is trying to set guys up before advancing forward. That stuff worked in college but very little in the pros.
Powell does very little of that, imo, and seems confident advancing with his first move without all the dancing around.
I believe it would be a great mistake to try and replace Powell as our punt/kickoff returner. I really dont see the upside in doing so and I dont think he has done anything to warrant a replacement.
I hope the Rams don't actually get cute and replace him especially with a guy like TuTu or Austin.
I like Powell too Killrazor. Powell is much better than Tutu or Tavon would be! The more I think about it, you are right. There really is no upside in bringing in Tavon. Besides, one "little" under performing WR on our team is enough!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
