Waiving Blanton now also gives him a better chance to stick on another roster through waivers, IMO, because he’s not in the large cluster of cuts next week.

So let’s say hypothetically the Rams keep 2 TEs, important to not look at a “TE3” as a guy who is marked on the roster as a TE. Jacob Harris can do TE things (whatever that may mean now). Lance McCutcheon. Ben Skowronek. Fun fact - Cooper Kupp ALSO does “TE things”. Liquid role.
