Really liked our picks, but am not ready to count all these guys as All Pros. Shelton is most likely the starter at RG. The CBs need to beat out a few returnees to get PT. Ramsey and Hill are the true vets. Long, Rochel, Burgess are back with experience in this scheme. Glad the kids are flashing in camp. But, that doesn't mean that they have already won spots. There's a month to go.
Also, I'm glad Hardy is flashing too. But, he's behind Floyd, Hollins, Lewis and Garrett for two spots. I don't see anyone saying he's blown by Garrett yet. Garrett looked amazing in last year's PS games. Those 3 PS games will determine which youngsters make the squad, who goes to the practice squad and who just doesn't make it.
I don't see edge as lean at the depth chart. I expect Hollins to play well and Lewis to emerge. Garrett could be a designated rusher. . If Hardy is your 5th guy that's good. I like our depth at edge better than RB. Akers, Hendu, Funk, Calais are all returning from recent injuries. Kieren is already hurt. Running backs get hammered and easily injured. This could be a real strength or our greatest weakness.
I never said anything about All Pros. I said ‘great value’ from picks in 3rd through 7th round. C’mon…
