1973 Rams vs Dolphins

I wasn't quite 7 yet that year (September Birthday) but I remember my Dad calling out to me as the Rams are on preseason tonight. Watched it in my parent's bedroom on the portable black & white (aging myself) the big TV was for Mom & Sis that Saturday Night I believe. I remember listening that the Rams had traded Roman Gabriel and the balding dumpy John Hadl was now the Rams QB and they had a young first year Head Coach in Chuck Knox.

Hadl looked awful, Knox looked clueless as I recall being only 6 as the Rams fell behind 28-0 until a young QB came off the bench in James Harris and led the Rams to two 2nd half TD's to make the score look more respectable at 28-14. Preseason was different back then, 6 games and they played the starters I thought the Rams were doomed with Hadl & Knox little did I know.
