I feel confident the Rams are a top-5 team. End of story. Some may say that is undervaluing or underestimating them. And maybe it is. But no one knows who the actual 1-2-3 teams in the league are for 2022. Will the Bills realize their potential? Maybe. Bengals fall back with a 'Super Bowl hangover'? Maybe. But they also addressed their weak OL so to me they are just as likely to return to the AFC title game. Chiefs? Chargers? Cowboys? Packers? On and on. Who knows right now...
The Rams are in the mix. 100%. They have a top 6-7 QB (depending on how you view Stafford) and a top-tier head coach. When you have that, that alone puts you ahead of 3/4 of the league.
My expectation for the Rams is to win the NFC West and be playing in the divisional round. Beyond that? Hate to say it but it's usually sort of a crap shoot. If we're honest last season could have ended differently. If Green Bay doesn't collapse vs. the 49ers do the Rams win at Green Bay in the NFC championship? Maybe, maybe not.. If Buffalo beats KC in OT do they beat Cincy and then face and possibly beat the Rams in the Super Bowl? Could be... The Rams earned that title with some truly magical moments and effort.
The Rams have so much going for them. Talent. Culture. Coaching. All of it. But they DO play a tough schedule. They do have question marks (OL, Edge, RB, Corner). They do have a lot of players that played 21 games last year and aren't as well-rested as others.
