So, of the Top 5 WRs with the best Regular Season stats in NFL history....Stafford was the only QB - of ALL TIME - that threw to 2/5ths of them(Kupp & Calvin Johnson).
Also, I want to make a comment on Stafford's INT rate last year. I think it will change dramatically this season. Stafford loves to give his WRs a chance for making a great play on deep balls and often(earlier in the season - and changed after our losing skid) threw them up for what looked like "grabs" at times.
Well, A-Rob is what will make all those "throw it up for grabs" comments look planned...cuz it will be. In Allen Robinson, we will now have Megatron 2.0.
A-Rob is arguably the best contested ball catcher in the NFL besides having the #1 catch% in the NFL; what that means is that Stafford will be throwing those bombs away and just letting ARob go up and get em...a few times a game. Along with all the underneath outs & crosses that Kupp does I think ARob will bring the Deep balls back in a more successful way for Stafford.
So, in essence, this will be like having Kupp AND Megatron(ARob) together at the SAME time for Stafford....in what might be a historical 2023 season.
btw - maybe add OBJ later in the season and there is real potential for an absurdly productive passing game.
