for me sweat or burns because they're productive, durable, cheap this year and you get them for 2 years. the problem with both is their year 2 compensation/cap space balloon's in year 2 so the ram's would need to work an agreeable, cap friendly extension.

that's a tough one. a really tough one. if you can get an edge rusher, a good edge rusher for like a 4-5 year period at a below market price on average, i think you do it. but how do know when you have a chance at one?
