What kinds of things does Robinson do that OBJ can't? I'm still trying to figure out what AR's game is about, and there isn't a lot to draw from historically.
i'm not trying to answer the obj vs a-rob3 part of your question classical, just suggesting somethings to consider regarding what AR's game is about:
foundationally, a-rob3 is well sized at 6-2 220lbs, wide catching radius, nice jumping ability and then blend all of those enviable physically attributes with the skill demonstrated by being in the top 3 over the last 4 or 5 years (i forget) in lowest passes dropped rate with something like a 98.3% or 98.7% (forgot again) catch rate according to an article posted here recently.
then our oc comes out today and says a-rob3's route tree is approaching what kupp can run.
including playing slot. more evidence of a high skill level.
so to bring it to a point ~ a-rob3 splitting some time at slot with kupp where he can play bullyball with his physical and skill gifts then set him outside and let stafford send him 50-50 passes with those same gifts ~ i think that's alot but maybe not all of what his game is about.
what i don't know is what a-rob3 will contribute in the run game. woods was really good at jet sweeps and blocking. just don't know what to expect from a-rob3 in the run game. i think your patience/wait & see may be well rewarded, classical, from a-rob3 from a receiving perspective. we might both be disappointed by him from a run game perspective ~ we'll see . . .
