In preseason last year, Evans started at Tackle and looked not very good, continued to struggle in pass protection, plus not much push in the run game. IMO, Evans has not grown and maybe that's from not tooling his body correctly or just not being up for the challenge at this level. Regardless, this is a contract year for him, so let's see how he responds.
I find it hard to judge OL in preseason games because all positions on OL are so interdependent when you are out there playing with a bunch of guys you don't get tons of snaps with it is hard to guage how good you really are. Yeah Orlando Pace would still dominate but I am not sure how good Havs would look playing alongside 2nd and 3rd string OL in a preseason game. Preseason is weird anyway the Rams used to have "dominant" running backs in the preseason that wouldn't sniff the field in the regular season and lets not forget the legend of Nelson Spruce preseason superstar.
