Actually I love the idea of Spring football and if done right it could challenge MLB for the fifth spot in American sports hierarchy, behind the NFL, college football, the NBA and college basketball. It is smart for the networks always looking for live content to be backing the USFL. It can be a cash cow that they can control which is far different than their relationship with the NFL. I am curious if CBS and ABC get into bed with the XFL since NBC and Fox are with the USFL. I have watched more USFL than I have baseball since after the Super Bowl.
