The Rams got a 6th-round comp pick for Troy Hill after he departed in 2021, and they now also have Hill back at a $1.5M base salary/$3.75 cap number. The pick will be in use for some purpose later today; this trade an insight into how they use that comp formula (h/t @nickkorte)

What’s hilarious is that the Rams let Hill walk and we’re awarded a sixth round pick as a comp pick while Cleveland $6M/yr.
Rams get Hill back, Browns eat majority of the salary, and Rams are paying $1.5M for a CB they let walk a season ago.
