"undermarket contract" for a FA?

There appears to be NO market for RBs seeking 2nd and 3rd contracts. It is rare that those hefty contracts ever work out and teams are becoming gun shy. RBs are now a commodity. Sony Michel wouldn't be signing an "under market" contract with the Rams. He might come back, but it would be for a low price that would reflect the market. Part of the issue, I imagine, is that most teams 3rd RB plays STs. I'm not sure that defines Sony.
