As I mentioned in another thread, I realliy see the AR signing as an insurance for RW & OBJ than a closed door on either. I expected the Rams to eventually part ways with RW, but when OBJ got hurt, I assumed RW was safe for next season.
Now that both are recovering, the Rams made a bold move in getting another high end WR to pair with Kupp who can stretch the field. In 2 years, I don't foresee the WR corps to include: Kupp, Woods, OBJ, Robinson, and Jefferson. But I do anticipate: Kupp, Robinson, Jefferson, and either Woods/OBJ.
As for the other needs, I think the Rams look to replace VM's spot by committee (Hollins, Lewis, rookie, Garrett, cheap vet FA). They just have only so much $$ to spend.
AD and Stafford are the priorities going forward.
As much as we may question this signing over an edge rusher or name FA, the FO always seems to be looking at 1 or 2 years ahead and have certainly gained my trust.
