Tom Brady has famously taken below market contracts to allow Pats/Bucs to field more competitive teams.
With no restructures for Stafford/Donald, I wonder if perhaps either or both of them have told the Rams they would accept a contract “range” that would allow them to resign Miller/Beckham; if they successfully sign Miller/Beckham, Stafford/Donald would take the lower end of the range, if Miller/Beckham are not resigned they take the higher end of the range.
